Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moet je groter wordend vast leren houden ... by Ans Wortel was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. The price achieved of EUR 478.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ans Wortel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Als een vis zal ik je dragen...., which sold at auction in July 2003 for EUR 1,314.50.
