In the British & European Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work The Offering to the Bride (or Homage to the Queen) sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,469.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Annie French; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose sold at auction in August 2007 with the realized price of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,287.00).
