Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Annie French achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Homage to a Bride sold for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,169.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Annie French - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,287.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Annie French erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Homage to a Bride für GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.169,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Annie French mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.287,00) versteigert wurde.
