Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Annie French achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Friendship blossoms best beside the wishing well sold for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,684.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Annie French - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,287.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Annie French erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Friendship blossoms best beside the wishing well für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.684,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Annie French mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.287,00) versteigert wurde.
