This artwork by Anne Redpath achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Still life with jug of flowers sold for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,162.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Redpath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With White Tulips, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 216,000.00 (€ 316,251.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Redpath erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Still life with jug of flowers für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.162,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Redpath mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With White Tulips beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 216.000,00 (€ 316.251,83) versteigert wurde.
