In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Old Checkered House sold for USD 160,000.00 (€ 189,237.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Grandma Moses have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sugaring Off in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 1,360,000.00 (€ 1,025,563.68).
