Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Farm in Autumn by Grandma Moses for USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,833.49). This price was achieved in the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grandma Moses achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sugaring Off in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 1,360,000.00 (€ 1,025,563.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Farm in Autumn von Grandma Moses für USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.833,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grandma Moses erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sugaring Off im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.360.000,00 (€ 1.025.563,68).
