In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work Still Life With Glass Bottles by Anna Airy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,418.28), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Airy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young April, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Glass Bottles von Anna Airy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.418,28) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Airy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young April beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08) versteigert wurde.
