Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Returning Home by Angelos Giallina was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,208.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Angelos Giallina have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Returning Home von Angelos Giallina kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.208,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelos Giallina auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Corfu im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 30.945,72).
