Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A villa amongst cypress trees, Corfu by Angelos Giallina was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,523.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Angelos Giallina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72).

Die Arbeit A villa amongst cypress trees, Corfu von Angelos Giallina kam im September 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.523,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Angelos Giallina erzielen.
