Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Angela Brennan could be acquired at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Found Landscape I changed hands for AUD 9,600.00 (€ 5,644.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Angela Brennan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegant And Beautiful, which sold at auction in August 2001 for AUD 23,500.00 (€ 13,642.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Angela Brennan konnte im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wechselte die Arbeit Australian Found Landscape I für AUD 9.600,00 (€ 5.644,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Angela Brennan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegant And Beautiful beobachtet, die im August 2001 für AUD 23.500,00 (€ 13.642,41) versteigert wurde.
