Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Butterflies Drinking Crocodile Tears by Angel Otero. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 2,032,000.00 (€ 237,926.42). Other works by Angel Otero have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 327,600.00 (€ 317,349.61) in November last year for the work Figuring You Out.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Butterflies Drinking Crocodile Tears von Angel Otero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 2.032.000,00 (€ 237.926,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Angel Otero haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 317.349,61) im November letzten Jahres für die Arbeit Figuring You Out beobachtet.
