The work Seated Figure by Ang Kiukok was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 52,279.36), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ang Kiukok have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).

Die Arbeit Seated Figure von Ang Kiukok wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 52.279,36) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ang Kiukok auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47).
