Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Ang Kiukok was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,031.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ang Kiukok achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude von Ang Kiukok wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.031,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ang Kiukok erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47).
