It achieved a price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,413.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Ang Kiukok have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).

Die Arbeit Madonna And Child von Ang Kiukok wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.413,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ang Kiukok auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47).
