This artwork by Ang Kiukok achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Fisherman sold for HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 268,699.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 750,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ang Kiukok; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fishermen sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 3,760,000.00 (€ 356,804.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ang Kiukok erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Fisherman für HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 268.699,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 750.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ang Kiukok; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fishermen im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 3.760.000,00 (€ 356.804,47).
