Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
The work Lenin by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2013. It achieved a price of USD 100,000.00 (€ 73,561.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
