Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Winter Landscape With Figures Skating by Andries Vermeulen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,231.43). Admittedly, works by Andries Vermeulen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Landscape With Skaters On A Frozen Canal in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 24,944.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Winter Landscape With Figures Skating von Andries Vermeulen im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.231,43) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andries Vermeulen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Landscape With Skaters On A Frozen Canal im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 24.944,41).
