In the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction, the work A river landscape with a shepherd and other figures on a track near a farmhouse, horsemen before a mansion in the distance sold for EUR 6,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Andries Vermeulen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Landscape With Skaters On A Frozen Canal in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 24,944.41).
