In April 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction The Rafael Valls Sale, which included the work Figures Skating On A Frozen River By A Windmill by Andries Vermeulen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,039.30), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Andries Vermeulen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Landscape With Skaters On A Frozen Canal in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 24,944.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Rafael Valls Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures Skating On A Frozen River By A Windmill von Andries Vermeulen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.039,30) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andries Vermeulen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Landscape With Skaters On A Frozen Canal im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 24.944,41).
