Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Berry Picking by Andrew Wyeth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 98,280.00 (€ 87,073.62), 23% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Berry Picking von Andrew Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 98.280,00 (€ 87.073,62) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day Dream im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.290.000,00 (€ 22.561.270,95).
