In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work A Bridge, Race Gate sold for USD 165,500.00 (€ 177,422.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).

In der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit A Bridge, Race Gate für USD 165.500,00 (€ 177.422,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Wyeth erzielen.
