Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Fog Horn Station, Monhegan by Andrew Winter. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,962.50 (€ 9,149.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Andrew Winter have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2002 the work Fishing Vessel at Dock was auctioned for USD 15,535.00 (€ 15,858.51).
