In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work A coastal view with figures on the rocks in the foreground and a castle beyond sold for USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,406.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew W. Melrose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View From New Jersey Looking Towards Downtown New York in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 102,000.00 (€ 79,482.58).
