This artwork by Andrew Nicholl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2010. In the An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection auction, the work Sunrise On The Indian Ocean sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,809.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrew Nicholl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poppies, cornflowers and daisies on Killiney Hill; Killiney Bay, Bray Head and the Sugar Loaf mountain in the distance in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 21,150.00 (€ 33,937.95).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Nicholl erzielte im Juli 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection wurde die Arbeit Sunrise On The Indian Ocean für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.809,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Nicholl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poppies, cornflowers and daisies on Killiney Hill; Killiney Bay, Bray Head and the Sugar Loaf mountain in the distance im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.150,00 (€ 33.937,95).
