Upper estimate price exceeded by 30 %.
The work Britannia spreads her wings by Andrew Bennett was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 456.00 (€ 674.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Bennett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Endeavour And Velsheda Racing Off The Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes, 1934 in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,404.40).
