Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'White Pope' (From Immersions) by Andres Serrano was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 6,807.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Serrano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Christ in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85).
