Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view of Dordrecht in winter by Andreas Schelfhout was sold in the British & European Art: European Art auction at Christies in London in July 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 35,682.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Schelfhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wintergezicht met schaatsrijders: a busy day on the ice in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 524,800.00.
