Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A rocky landscape with a sailing boat on a river by Andreas Schelfhout was sold in the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction at Christies in London in December 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,810.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Schelfhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wintergezicht met schaatsrijders: a busy day on the ice in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 524,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A rocky landscape with a sailing boat on a river von Andreas Schelfhout wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.810,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andreas Schelfhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wintergezicht met schaatsrijders: a busy day on the ice im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 524.800,00.
