Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Silsersee Mit Blick Richtung Segl Maria, 2018 by Andreas Rickenbacher was auctioned at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of CHF 10,000.00 – 14,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for CHF 7,500.00 (€ 6,658.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andreas Rickenbacher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lichtspiel, 2013 Play Of Light, 2013, which sold at auction in June 2013 for CHF 23,750.00 (€ 19,317.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Silsersee Mit Blick Richtung Segl Maria, 2018 von Andreas Rickenbacher im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 10.000,00 – 14.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für CHF 7.500,00 (€ 6.658,08) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Andreas Rickenbacher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lichtspiel, 2013 Play Of Light, 2013 beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für CHF 23.750,00 (€ 19.317,64) versteigert wurde.
