Auction result well in line with expectations
The work King Saul being greeted in triumph after David's defeat of Goliath by Andrea Schiavone was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,637.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Andrea Schiavone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ecce Homo in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 169,025.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit King Saul being greeted in triumph after David's defeat of Goliath von Andrea Schiavone kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.637,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea Schiavone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ecce Homo im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 169.025,51).
