Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Saint Reading by Andrea Schiavone was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,713.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Schiavone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ecce Homo in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 169,025.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Saint Reading von Andrea Schiavone wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
