In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Chez Mondrian, Paris by André Kertész. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,412.19), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Kertész achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Mondrian, Paris in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 314,000.00 (€ 370,021.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chez Mondrian, Paris von André Kertész zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.890,00 (€ 8.412,19) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Kertész erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Atelier Mondrian, Paris im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.000,00 (€ 370.021,21).
