Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by André Hambourg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May this year. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Départ des régates, Deauville en août sold for USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,922.47) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André Hambourg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Première de planches à voile dans l'estuaire de la Touques, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Hambourg erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Départ des régates, Deauville en août für USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.922,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von André Hambourg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Première de planches à voile dans l'estuaire de la Touques beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) versteigert wurde.
