In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by André Butzer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 82,550.00 (€ 77,482.64), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by André Butzer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chips und Pepsi und Medizin (Das Glück) in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 403,200.00 (€ 477,683.10).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von André Butzer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 82.550,00 (€ 77.482,64) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Butzer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chips und Pepsi und Medizin (Das Glück) im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 403.200,00 (€ 477.683,10).
