Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Untitled' (From The Silueta Series), Iowa, 1978 by Ana Mendieta. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 27,982.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ana Mendieta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (From the Fetish Series) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 134,065.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Untitled' (From The Silueta Series), Iowa, 1978 von Ana Mendieta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 27.982,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ana Mendieta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (From the Fetish Series) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 134.065,98).
