Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Untitled (Facial Hair Transplants) (7 Works)', 1972 by Ana Mendieta was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 30,780.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ana Mendieta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (From the Fetish Series) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 134,065.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Untitled (Facial Hair Transplants) (7 Works)', 1972 von Ana Mendieta kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 30.780,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ana Mendieta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (From the Fetish Series) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 134.065,98).
