Artwork auctioned at eight times the upper estimate price
When the work Cuju (Song Dynasty，10Th-13Th Century) by An Ho was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 8,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than eight times as high at HKD 64,900.00 (€ 7,908.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by An Ho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horse Polo in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 82,546.36).
Kunstwerk zum Achtfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Cuju (Song Dynasty，10Th-13Th Century) von An Ho im November 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 8.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 64.900,00 (€ 7.908,50) mehr als achtmal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von An Ho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horse Polo im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 82.546,36).
