The work Untitled (Camels) Recto; Untitled (Horse) Verso by Amrita Sher-Gil was auctioned at Christies in Mumbai in December 2013. The auction ended at the price of INR 2,500,000.00 (€ 29,392.55), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of INR 1,800,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amrita Sher-Gil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Self-Portrait) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,920,000.00 (€ 2,718,555.07).
