In October 2008 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art, which included the work In the Armory by Amedeo Simonetti. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,712.98) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, In the Armory is the most expensive artwork by Amedeo Simonetti that we have observed at auctions so far.
