Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,022,500.00 (€ 1,316,296.59). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608., which sold at auction in September 2008 for CHF 5,770,000.00 (€ 3,662,132.66).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.022.500,00 (€ 1.316.296,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608. beobachtet, die im September 2008 für CHF 5.770.000,00 (€ 3.662.132,66) versteigert wurde.
