The price achieved of USD 529,200.00 (€ 500,757.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608. in September 2008 with an auction result of CHF 5,770,000.00 (€ 3,662,132.66).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 500.757,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608. im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 5.770.000,00 (€ 3.662.132,66).
