Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Part II auction, the work Peaches, Apples, Apricots And Grapes In A Wan Li Bowl With Cherries, Pears, Apricots And An Apple On A Ledge changed hands for USD 87,500.00 (€ 72,469.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608. in September 2008 with an auction result of CHF 5,770,000.00 (€ 3,662,132.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder konnte im April 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters Part II wechselte die Arbeit Peaches, Apples, Apricots And Grapes In A Wan Li Bowl With Cherries, Pears, Apricots And An Apple On A Ledge für USD 87.500,00 (€ 72.469,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00.
