Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608. sold at auction in September 2008 with the realized price of CHF 5,770,000.00 (€ 3,662,132.66).
