Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna And Child by Ambrosius Benson was sold in the Master Paintings: Part I auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2015. The price achieved of USD 425,000.00 (€ 376,439.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ambrosius Benson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mary Magdalene holding an ointment jar in January last year with an auction result of USD 1,956,000.00 (€ 1,744,559.40).

Die Arbeit Madonna And Child von Ambrosius Benson wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion Master Paintings: Part I bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 376.439,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden.
