This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Amani Lewis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot For Angela and her kin...in the garden (NITT edition) sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 112,040.39).
