Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Notre Dame, 1906 by Alvin Langdon Coburn for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,287.77). This price was achieved in the auction MoMA: Pictorialism into Modernism at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alvin Langdon Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vortograph in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 439,137.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Notre Dame, 1906 von Alvin Langdon Coburn für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.287,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MoMA: Pictorialism into Modernism bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alvin Langdon Coburn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vortograph im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 605.000,00 (€ 439.137,69).
