Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Merlin's Diary by Alun Leach-Jones was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2003. The price achieved of AUD 446.50 (€ 263.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 300.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alun Leach-Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Instruments For A Solitary Navigator in August 2004 with an auction result of AUD 16,730.00 (€ 9,710.07).

Die Arbeit Merlin's Diary von Alun Leach-Jones kam im August 2003 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 446,50 (€ 263,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 300,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alun Leach-Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Instruments For A Solitary Navigator im August 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 16.730,00 (€ 9.710,07).
