Auction result well in line with expectations
The work India 5 by Alun Leach-Jones was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2004. The price achieved of AUD 501.90 (€ 292.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alun Leach-Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Instruments For A Solitary Navigator in August 2004 with an auction result of AUD 16,730.00 (€ 9,710.07).
