Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alson Skinner Clark achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the California Art auction, the work The Pacific sold for USD 21,675.00 (€ 19,633.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alson Skinner Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the Lock, Miraflores in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 81,260.00 (€ 82,447.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alson Skinner Clark erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit The Pacific für USD 21.675,00 (€ 19.633,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alson Skinner Clark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the Lock, Miraflores im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.260,00 (€ 82.447,24).
